Reasons for differences of reserve estimation results between domestic and SEC rules：A case study of gas reservoir in 2nd section of Changxing Formation, well Yuanba 103H

Three main petroleum companies in our country have successfully come into the SEC in succession since 2000,and the reserve estimations on oversea market have been made based on SEC rules.The differences of reserve estimation concept,classification and purpose lead to the differences of estimation results between domestic and SEC rules.A case study of gas reservoir has been carried out in the 2nd section of the Changxing Formation,well Yuanba 103H.The determination of gas-bearing area and effective thickness based on domestic and SEC rules has been compared.
