APPLICATION OF HELIUM GAS MEASUREMENT IN CHEMICAL PROSPECTING OF OIL AND GAS

Highly concentrated helium gas is contained in most of hydrocarbon pools,which is easier to migrate to the surface through the cap-rock,because of the mass and property of helium atoms.Anomalous areas are formed in the soil above hydrocarbon pools.The author has collected and tested samples from the nettings of known and unknown pools,and achieved obvious chemical prospecting results.
