JURASSIC CHAROPHYTES IN THE NORTHEASTERN PART OF TARIM BASIN AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE

  • This paper discribes Jurassic charophytes in the northeastern part of Tarim Basin, which contain 25 species of 4 genera, including 8 new species and 6 unidentified species.All of those charophytes are of the same assemblage, the characteristic of the assemblage is that Aclistochara predominates overwhelmingly in number.It encompasses chiefly the Aclistochara maxima, A.lufengensis, A.nugnishanensis, A. yunnanensis etc. This is a very common assemblage in Middle Jurassic in this country. Its time pertains to the Middle Jurassic.
