Abstract: Basin simulation is one of the important technology and method for the exploration evaluation of petroleum basins. Based on the TSM basin-simulation system and the exploration degree of the study area in this paper,a suitable basin-simulation method system and corresponding software system were established,and the buried history,thermal history,hydrocarbon-generating history and hydrocarbon migration and accumulation history of the Mamuwusu Depression were revealed emphatically.On these bases,the resource prospects of the study area were analysed.
