Abstract: This paper introduced the basic conceptions of fault related fold.By analysing the geological background of the Ordos basin,observing in the fields and interpreting one west east seismic section which goes through the basin,the authors proved that there are fault-related folds existing in the Ordos basin.The study gave a new way to look for the structural traps in the basin.
