Abstract: This paper mainly discusses the Middle Jurassic marine-flooding event the Tarim Basin. Based on the factual materials.the southwestern Tarim and Kuqu de-deposition of pressions are suggested to be in varying degree influnced by marine-flooding during the late Middle Jurassic. The event has an important significance in evaluating the Jurassic hydrocarbon resource of the Basin.
