Abstract: After an investigation and survey on the karst topography in Guilin area,the paper concludes that three important topics should be considered for a better understanding of carbonate buried hill reservoirs,namely a prediction on the occurrence of sandstones,the relation of the occurrence of solution openings and fissures in a buried hill with their lithologies and textures;and the relation of reservoir spaces with tectonics.
