Abstract: Based on the summerization of information home and abroad,geochem-ical characteristics i.e.source,evolution,and texture of aromatic steranes are described.15 new compounds of aromatic sterane were identified by GC-MS.In addition,the authors explained in detail the MS reactional mechanism of the compounds of aromatic steranes,which would provide evidences for the study and identification of the texture of aromatic steranes.
