Abstract: Based on the discovery of Ostracoda in Mangchuan Formation of Luoyang Basin,Henan Province,the distribution,time and paleoecology of Early Eocene assemblage for Cypris henanensis-Eucypris subtriangularis-Limnocythere hubeiensis (C-E-L assemblage) have been discussed in this paper.It is proposed that C-E-L Ostracoda assemblage is a non-marine Early Eocene fauna widespreading throughout China.This finding in Luoyang Basin will provide new data for the studies on Early Eocene Ostracoda fauna in China and also provide a basis for the division and correlation of Lower Eocene sequences of Chinese non-marine basins.
