Abstract: Applying thin layer chromatography and gas chromatography,analysis and study are made on aromatic hydrocarbons of four Lower Paleozoic strata,including Silurian,Ordovician,Cambrian and Sinian systems.The evolutionary pattern and distributive characteristics of aromatic hydrocarbons are meaningful for the study of the types of source rocks and its maturity and oil/rock correlation.
